Our School Day

Beaumont Primary School is a well-resourced, modern, spacious building that was opened in 1973 to meet the growing population in Ladybridge. The seven classrooms are well furnished, all with interactive white boards and adjoining resource bays, with additional accommodation for group and creative work. We have extensive grounds with large playgrounds, spacious playing fields, adventure trails, planting bays and a woodland area.

Class Organisation

We have seven classes within our school starting at Reception to Year 6 and children are taught in single aged classes. At Beaumont, we have very high staffing ratios to help children of all abilities to develop their talents and skills, through a broad and rich curriculum. We also employ specialist teachers in Music and PE to enhance provision for our children. Within each class children are taught individually, as a group or as a class, but always according to their needs and abilities.

Timings

Doors Open – 8.25 am

School Starts – 8:30am

School Ends – 3.00 pm

Total time – 35.5hours per week

To ease the congestion around school at the beginning of the school day and give parents greater flexibility for dropping off in the mornings and improve punctuality, we open the Reception/KS1/KS2 doors at 8.25am.

Children can come into school anytime between 8.25 am-8.30 am and go to their own class and start an agreed task (e.g. handwriting, spellings, reading etc). We believe it is really important that children get into good habits early in life and understand that punctuality is a sign of good manners, as well as a key skill.
